About the Diploma

You will learn to combine technical, creative and conceptual skills to create designs that meet client requirements and solve a
range of visual communication challenges. The design project briefs in this course mirror current industry practice
using Mac Labs,
and current industry standard software such as Adobe Creative Suite. Programs used in the Diploma include Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, After Effects, FIGMA or Adobe XD & web platforms such as WIX and Wordpress.
Photography skills are also taught as part of the course
and you will set up and light a range of shots including a product shots for use in your designs.

Entry Requirements

To enter this qualification you will need to already have a sound understanding of design theory and practice. These skills and knowledge may have been gained through personal or work experience or through completion of formal study, such as the Certificate IV in Design or equivalent vocational expertise in a field related to graphic design, such as printing and graphic arts. Other qualifications in design, information technology and screen and media may also be considered on application.

This qualification is for those who want to gain the skills, knowledge and attitudes needed to develop and communicate creative graphic design solutions across the areas of print and digital design.
